Jose Adan Perez
José Adán Pérez is a talented baritone from Mazatlán, México, known for his dramatic expressiveness and rich vocal presence. Transitioning to music from a career in engineering in the automobile industry, he has achieved significant success in opera. An alumnus of prestigious programs such as the Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program at LA Opera and the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, Pérez has performed in renowned venues across the globe.
His New York City Opera debut in 2011 as Belcore in L’Elisir d’Amore received high praise, with The New York Times noting his smooth, clear, and rich voice. Pérez has worked with leading orchestras and conductors, including performances at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel and roles in LA Opera productions under the direction of Plácido Domingo and James Conlon.
Pérez’s repertoire includes roles like Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Dancaïro in Carmen, Dandini in La Cenerentola, and Marcello in La bohème.
